Introduction to iBELONG
iBELONG is an inclusive program by iCOMMUNITY designed to give people with disabilities the opportunity to attend live sporting events, esports competitions, and community sports activities. Our mission is to break down barriers by providing personalised support, accessible transport, and small group experiences. These activities foster connections, build friendships, and promote a sense of belonging through shared sporting passions.
Booking and Participation
Booking with iBELONG is simple:
Step 1: Complete the Referral Form.
Step 2: Sign the Service Agreement.
Step 3: Submit for Funding.
Step 4: Risk Assessment & Support Plan.
Step 5: Confirm Tickets.
Step 6: Enjoy Game Day.
Bookings must be made at least 14 days in advance to secure transport, coordinate support workers, confirm tickets, and complete risk assessments. For bookings within 14 days, contact us to check availability.
Yes, you can attend events outside your local area, but additional transport costs may apply. These will be discussed and confirmed during the booking process.
Yes, you can bring a friend or family member. They will need to cover their own costs (e.g., tickets, transport). Additional support needs for your guest can be arranged if required.
Costs and Funding
Costs depend on event type, transport needs, and support ratios. Below is a breakdown of 1:1 support costs:
Weekday Daytime: $67.56/hour
Weekday Evening: $74.44/hour
Weekday Night: $75.82/hour
Saturday: $95.07/hour
Sunday: $122.59/hour
Public Holiday: $150.10/hour
Note: A 3-hour minimum shift applies.
iBELONG is funded under these NDIS categories:
Core Supports: Assistance with Daily Life and Social, Economic, and Community Participation.
Capacity Building: Increased Social and Community Participation (09_006_0106_6_3).
Group and Centre-Based Activities: (04_102_0136_6_1).
We work with your plan manager or NDIA to ensure all expenses are correctly allocated.
Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice may incur a Short Notice Cancellation Fee.
Fees are claimed under the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
The fee may be waived at our discretion depending on individual circumstances.
Full terms are outlined in the Service Agreement.

Event and Support Details
Participants can enjoy:
Live Sporting Matches: Football, basketball, cricket, and more.
Esports Competitions: Gaming tournaments and digital events.
Community Sports: Local sports tailored to your interests.
A risk assessment ensures safety and comfort by identifying needs such as mobility, medical conditions, and behavioural support. The support plan outlines the assistance required for a successful experience.
All participants start with a 1:1 support ratio. This allows us to personalise care while we build your risk assessment and participant portfolio. Ratios may later adjust to 1:2 or 1:3 based on individual needs.
Support workers are matched based on your specific requirements, as outlined in the risk assessment. Our trained staff ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
The minimum shift time is 3 hours. This accounts for:
Game Duration: Most events last 1.5 hours.
Transport and Preparation: Additional time for travelling to and from the venue and settling in.
Notify us immediately. Depending on the event’s cancellation policy, we will reschedule or process refunds where applicable.
Yes, we offer accommodations for sensory sensitivities, such as quieter seating or sensory tools. Please let us know your needs during booking.
